Life and Breath
KISHIMOTO Yuna
Daily life goes on nonstop. Time passes by equally for everyone. I gave up my tail and gained two legs, but I will never be a princess in a fairy tale.
Behind the Scenes
What inspired you to create this work?
Creating artwork has always been a form of 'therapy' for me. The inspiration came from wanting to express the difficulties I've faced in life and my own body image issues in a clear way through animation.
What difficulties did you face?
It was a challenge to figure out how to convey a story through pictures, movement, and atmosphere alone, without dialogue or narration.
What did you try or do differently this time compared to your past work?
My first-year production was an installation piece in a completely different style, so creating a short animation with a narrative was a first for me.
What is your next goal?
I'd actually like to create another installation piece. Haha.
